This module will explore the history of NUS, introduce you to the work of NUS Charity and NUS UK including who we are, why we exist, what we do, and how you can engage and get involved.
We will also explore the history of the student movement and what has come before us.

You will also find a section in this module specifically for you as a college students' association staff member, which explores what NUS can do for you and how you can connect with us.

Audience: Any staff member wanting to find out more about NUS. This module is tailored specifically for college students' association staff.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Learners should be able to describe the mission, objectives, and functions of NUS Charity and NUS UK, including their roles in the broader student community.
2. By the end of this module, learners should be able to articulate the reasons for the existence of NUS, including its overarching goals and the value it brings to students.
3. Learners should develop an understanding of the historical context and significance of the student movement, including its role in advocating for student rights and social change.
4. By the end of this module, learners should be equipped with strategies to encourage student engagement with NUS and foster a sense of community and advocacy on campus.
5. After completing the module, learners should understand how NUS can benefit them professionally, and how they can establish connections with NUS.
