Generation Rent’s mission is that every home in the private rented sector is safe, secure and affordable.
This session will explore Generation Rent’s mission, the Renter's Reform Bill and students, what impact this has on you, the rights issues for students, and how you can work with Generation Rent.

By the end of this section, you should be able to:
• Recognise the key components of the Renter's Reform Bill and its implications for renters, with a specific focus on students and their housing rights.
• Assess the impact of Generation Rent's mission and the Renter's Reform Bill on students, particularly in terms of housing rights, affordability, and security.
• Identify the rights issues that students face within the private rented sector and understand the challenges and opportunities associated with student housing.
• Recall knowledge of the legal and policy aspects related to housing rights and rental sector reform, with a focus on how these issues affect students.
• Articulate an awareness of the potential collaboration and partnership opportunities between students and Generation Rent to advocate for improved housing conditions and renters' rights.
